To Whom It May Concern –

Wherever we live we become accustomed to the idea of ant and insect control. Similarly, those of us who choose to have homes in heavily wooded areas also learn we must live with nature without nature living too much with us. While skunks, raccoons, opossums, chipmunks, squirrels, and bats are common throughout the woods, we don’t generally want them inhabiting our homes. Even carpenter bees must be controlled to prevent damage for wood and access to other insects.

Druid Landing Townehomes Association (DLTA) engaged the services of Dennis Smith (Smith’s Wild Animal Control) to ensure that crawlspace access doors and vents, woodpecker holes, roof vents and other miscellaneous and minor openings were not accessible to various wildlife (bats, raccoons, opossums, chipmunks, squirrels, carpenter bees, etc.). Dennis is extremely knowledgeable of, and experienced with, wild animal behavior (breeding times, mating practices, eating habits) and he successfully caught and relocated a number of “critters” that were attempting to make our homes theirs. Throughout the process of animal collection, securing vents and closing openings (large and small), Dennis and his employees conducted themselves in a very efficient and professional manner.

A nearby creek and rock-laden ravine is home to additional wildlife, including a variety of snakes. Dennis recommended treating a strip of lawn along the ravine with Snake-Away to discourage snakes from encroaching upon lawns where homeowners might encounter them. This procedure has proven quite successful over the past two years.

Smith’s Wild Animal Control has met or exceeded our expectations on all issues which we have asked them to address. The DLTA Board highly recommends the high quality, professional services of Dennis and Margie Smith’s company.
